It has a good wooden alt-az mount, which can sit on a table top. It also has a great feature in that the bottom of the mount has a threaded hole so it can be mounted on a tripod (included in this kit). Both the scope and tripod are very lightweight and can easily be placed in the car to go to dark locations. I'll also note that the telescope tube itself also has a tripod mount threaded hole on it, for alternative mounting options. (I haven't explored these yet, but it looks useful down the road.)This kit includes three lenses (25mm, 10mm, and 6.3mm) and a very easy to use finder scope, though I have yet to get it fully adjusted. (That, however, is probably on me, not the scope!) Images are corrected to be right side up, but they are still left-right reversed. So keep that in mind for daytime usage.
